The Hindu Samskaras are a set of religious rites and rituals that Hindus perform throughout their lives. There are a total of 16 Samskaras, which are divided into three categories: the Shrauta (outer) Samskaras, the Grihastha (householder) Samskaras, and the Sannyasa (renunciate) Samskaras. The Shrauta Samskaras are performed by all Hindus, regardless of their caste or social status, and are considered to be essential for the individual’s spiritual development.
